Hello Team!
We are gearing up for our first dual meet of the season. We will be AWAY at Edgewater THIS Thursday. Edgewater has shared lots of good info that we are sending on to you.
Before we get to that, a couple of tidbit reminders about volunteer shifts:
Though you may have signed yourself up for specific role/shift, we have had to make adjustments. Why? While trying to accommodate your preferences, we also work to accommodate those parents who have young children and need first half shifts. That being said, we have many who have older swimmers and signed up for first half. If you see you have been moved to second half, this is why. We are also having difficulty with parents communicating to us that they will be out. We schedule everyone, and then someone tells us after the deadline they won't be there. This then means we have to go in, delete and shift more things around to make it work. On that note...THIS Thursday is your deadline for NEXT week's meet. Declare your swimmer AND send an email if you are NOT going to be there.

Info From Edgewater:
Maple ridge swimmers AND volunteers need to be checking in by 5pm. We will have our own check in area near our team's bullpen

Arrival/Check-In: 5pm
Warm up time :5:25 - 5:50.
Parking: Please observe our parking guidelines>>>>
Cars cannot park in the tennis parking lot, on the grass, or on the side of the street with No Parking signs. When parking on the street, please allow enough space for residents to be able to turn into and out of their driveways. Swimmers can be dropped off at the pool and enter through the gates and proceed to the visitor’s bullpen area which will be outside the pool gate near the playground behind the restrooms and clubhouse.
Restrooms: There are two restrooms on the pool deck that can be used as Unisex restrooms even though they are labeled as men and women. There is a chance the women’s restroom will be unavailable due to improvements/construction. There are additional restrooms located around the backside of the large clubhouse that can be accessed outside the pool gate near the playground.
Heat sheets will be provided digitally (these will be sent on Wednesday), we will have a limited number of paper copies that will be sold at concessions (smaller clubhouse on the left when you enter the pool). Cost is $2.00. Please bring smaller bills.
Visitor seating for spectators will be to the right, near the restrooms, as you enter the pool. Please make sure to leave clear paths to the stairs of the clubhouse for scoring access and to the restrooms.
Concessions: We offer Ponko Chicken, Grandma’s pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks, drinks, and shaved ice. We accept Cash, credit card, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Cash App for purchases.
Scoring: This will take place on the top floor of the clubhouse located behind the visiting team seating area. Times will be posted on the lower clubhouse doors. The scoring room is available to council persons, coaches, officials, and scoring volunteers only please.
Officials and Timing: The timing and officials meeting will be held at 5:40 near our starter's table. Our Head Official is Mancy Tutt. We will announce the meeting, please be sure that timers and judges for both shifts attend the meeting.
Inclement weather: In the event the meet is delayed for weather, please let your parents know to head to their cars and await further instruction. Please tell them not to leave.
