Hello Manta Rays! 

What a great first day of practice! Thank you parents for being on time, and swimmers being ready to go! We know this week has a lot going on and many of us have conflicts, just make it to the practice you can :)  

13/14 Practice Time Shift: Our 9/10 and 11/12 age groups are our most full practice groups. When our 13/14 group showed up today and joined them, it pushed us over. These were more 13/14 than we were anticipating coming to the 6:30 practice time and it was overpowering for the younger swimmers. Therefore, during preseason, we are asking that our 13/14 year olds come to their 4:45 practice; or as closely to that time as possible. This will relieve the 6:30 practice and also place these swimmers with those more of their caliber. This will leave only 9/10 and 11/12 coming at 6:30. 

Quick Info/Reminders:

• Have your swimmer bring a water bottle or gatorade on deck with them (NO GLASS CONTAINERS). Many were thirsty today or having to run out of the gate to get water. 
• It is helpful if your swimmer has a bag of some sort to bring on deck during practice with all their belongings. It will help keep things together. Label everything! 
• If you are a returning swimmer and happen to have a kickboard at home, please bring it with you to use! You do not need to buy one, we just need a few extra floating around if you happen to have them :)
• Please be on time to pick up your swimmer at the end of their practice. 
• Please be conscious of your driving and speed as you come in and out of Maple Ridge. It is a privilege to get to swim here and use these facilities, we want to be respectful and safe to everyone.
