Hello Swim Families!

We hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall season! We wanted to touch base regarding 2023 season dates for you to make note of; as well as an update regarding registration. 

~ 2023 Season registration will open March 1st. You will be notified via email leading up to this.

~ The 2023 County Championship meet is July 7-9 (age sessions are the same).

REGISTRATION NUMBERS: We received a lot of survey feedback regarding how many kids were on the team and how crowded the pool was during practice. We wanted to address this.  

First, our team has grown a lot, and all by word of mouth! This is a great thing, and it's wonderful that more families are getting to be involved and experience our awesome team. I know it is something many are not used to, but there are teams with substantially more swimmers who are fitting themselves into the pool for practice every season. This is one reason why swim team is TEAM and not swim LESSONS.

Second, we do understand the desire for that "small team" feel and giving more room in the pool to work on swimming technique, and having more coach time. However, fewer swimmers do result in a reduced coaching staff. We have always had registration caps for each age group; although we've rarely ever hit that cap. In 2022 we not only hit the cap, but went above in all but one age group. 

Therefore, because we do take your feedback to heart, we are going to meet in the middle. Registration will be (per usual) first come, first serve until we hit these capacities for each gender, in each age group. Once a group is filled, it will be closed for the season. This is why we wanted you to have the above dates so you can prepare as best you can if you want to be sure to get a spot on the team. 

STROKE and TURN - Please email the team if you are interested, or want to know more, about becoming a stroke and turn judge. You get the best views at the meet and the training is simple and all online!

BOARD - If you are interested in becoming a board member and helping in that way, please email the team! We have some board members that will be rotating off soon, and we want to make this transition as smooth as possible. We can't have a team without a board. We will start meeting in January, please reach out to us! 

REMINDER - if you do not have a particularly strong swimmer, don't forget to seek out lessons, stroke clinics, refreshers before summer swim begins. This will go a long way in helping your swimmer be more confident in the water and build their strength.
