Hello Swim Families! 

We hope you have had a restful weekend. The end of school is in sight!!! This coming week is a little different, so please see below for important info and reminders regarding swim this week:

• This Week's Schedule: Monday - Practice as normal. Tuesday - Individual AND Team picture day, no practice. Wednesday - NO Scheduled practice, last day of school. Thursday - Time Trial/Mock meet. 
• WEATHER -Text @mrswim22 to 81010 to get on REMIND. We have some unfavorable weather forecast this week. This is when REMIND is going to be VERY beneficial. Sending REMIND notifications will be our first form of contact. We know that forecasts can change in an instant, therefore we will not make calls too far ahead. This is why having this quick form of contact is going to be helpful. REMINDER: We DO swim in the rain, but we DO NOT swim with thunder/lightning. If the rain is too hard that it disrupts vision in the water, we will also cancel or wait for it to lighten up. 
• PICTURES (Minis included!) -  Individual Pictures (optional) start at 6pm - first come, first serve. TEAM picture will be promptly at 6:30pm. Any individual pictures that were not done before team pic, will be done after team pic . Team shirts will be brought to the pool this evening to be handed out for pictures. If you plan to take individual (siblings can be taken together - Minis included!) you may do that in your team suit OR in your t-shirt. All swimmers will be in their shirts for the team picture. Bottoms do not matter. If you have a mini or 8 and under, you may want to be sure they have shorts on as they may be sitting with feet dangling in the water. See/print attachment of order form for pictures. This must be filled out and ready to go when you arrive with cash, check or credit card info filled out.  
• TIME TRIAL MEET (Minis DO NOT report) - Our first meet is THIS THURSDAY, 5/26. This will be like a practice meet, but times DO count; we will run it as an official meet. PLEASE be patient as this will run a bit slower than normal due to new/young swimmers and parent volunteers learning. Please remember to be patient with the board, coaches and each other. Meet email will go out the beginning of this week. 
• SWIMMER BEHAVIOR - The coaches have brought to our attention some behavior challenges as of late; mostly involving not listening and following instruction . As with any recreational sports team, it is a privilege to be here. If after warnings and/or corrections have been delivered, your swimmer is still consistently ignoring coach directions/being disrespectful to coaches and/or fellow swimmers, they will be asked to leave practice and try again the next day. If the behavior persists over time, we will be contacting parents to discuss further consequence. Following coach instruction is incredibly important for the safety of ALL swimmers; as well as being fair to ALL swimmers who want to learn and practice. Not wait around for coaches to deal with behavior issues.
