Hello Swim Families!

It's been a LONG time. We hope you are well. Gwinnett County Swim League has decided that we will move forward with a modified 2021 swim season. This of course will look A LOT different than your typical swim season. We know everyone's comfort levels and situations are different. We also know that it is easier to make choices with some information. While there are still many decisions left to be made for this season, we are able to share some of the season modifications, and guidelines that we will be required to follow. 

After reviewing these, please fill out the 4 question survey letting us know your interest level in participating in the 2021 season. This will help with our planning as we move forward.

~Emphasis of the 2021 season is recreation not competition.

~Season will be the same number of weeks, however only 4 meets.

~We will follow the guidelines of state and federal agencies as well as USA Swimming. These include (but not limited to):

• 14 day quarantine for anyone due to covid exposure
• Social distancing and masks worn on deck for anyone not swimming
• One way path in and out of the pool deck.
• Covid screenings and Temp checks before entering the deck.
• No bathroom use for changing before OR after practice/meets - MUST come ready for water. Also no deck shower use.
• No parents on deck - we are still assessing if/what kind of parent viewing we may be able to have for meets.

~ 4 Virtual meets - this means we will NOT be swimming with other teams in person, or going to any other pools. We will swim at our pool and record our times. These times will then be merged with the other team times through our computer program. Meets may also be split up by age group depending on numbers and occur at different times during the week.

~There will be NO mini manta ray program.

~Volunteers will still be needed, but highly limited. 

~County meet is scheduled for July 10-11. HOWEVER, this is subject to change. GaTech allows NO spectators inside their building.

There are still many unknowns and many decisions that will be based on the number of swimmers who are registered on our team. We need your help as we move forward. Please go ahead and fill out this quick survey. The survey will close on Sunday, February 21st at the end of the day. The board will then assess the responses and move forward with planning.
