Maple Ridge Pool Open
Hello Swim Families,
Congrats on finishing school and happy holiday weekend!
Some of you have reached out asking about the Maple Ridge pool and becoming members. I thought I would get the same info out to everyone and if you have any further questions please email [email protected].
The pool officially opened this weekend with Covid-19 guidelines. Membership is an annual fee of $425. Below is the notice that went out to the neighborhood. It includes a link to our general facility rules as well as outlined current guidelines.
We are excited to be able to get the pool open in time for the holiday weekend. We are hoping for a good summer and for everyone to stay safe and healthy so we can continue to stay open. Thank you for your patience as the board dealt with lots of guideline reading and worked with our new pool management company to get things ready. There are some changes and things that all members who plan to use the facilities need to be aware of. Please read below. Also, whether you are a new or returning member, it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with our facility guidelines on our website. https://www.mapleridg
These decisions were made based on current pool guidelines and our own available resources and manpower to sustain them. Please know that these restrictions can change as the season progresses (in either direction) based on new guidelines and/or cooperation of our members.
- No Deck furniture - For the time being all deck furniture has been removed and locked up. Members are permitted to bring in their own chairs. All items brought with you MUST also leave with you.
- No pavilion rentals - For the time being the board will not be granting facility rentals. Members may still enjoy the pavilion while staying mindful and respectful of distancing between yourself and others.
- Social Distancing - Please be aware of your surroundings and keep appropriate distance between yourself and others not in your household. There will be signs posted as reminders. Please refrain from large gatherings in or around the pavilion area.
- Guests - No more than 5 guests per member household allowed at one time.
- Daily Disinfecting - The board has prepared bottles of cleaning solutions and will be aiming to clean/disinfect bathrooms and other populated areas i.e handrails, shower, etc, twice a day. This is a big task and we may not always be available. If others in our community are willing to help with this, please email us at HOA@mapleridgesubdivision.
com OR drop us a note on the FB page, and we will get in touch. ALSO, the cleaning solutions will be stored for members to use. If you are at the pool and are willing to do this on your way out, it would help tremendously. Whoever does this can then post to our page and let us know it's been done so we can be sure to stay on top of it. PLEASE KEEP YOUNG CHILDREN AWAY FROM SOLUTIONS. These will most likely be stored under sinks and/or hanging in the bathroom. - Bathrooms - Please do not use the restrooms as a locker room. Restroom doors MUST stay propped open at all times for proper ventilation.
- Self Disinfecting - Please consider having with you when you visit, hand sanitizer and using it before you come in and during your time as you move about the facilities. We are working on getting more of this supply to have in and around the area for members to use.
- No Lifeguards at This Time - With the recent lifting of the shelter in place order, combined with the red cross limiting certification classes and class size, pool companys are playing "catch up" to get guards certified and ready to work. Unfortunately, this is a downside to our pool opening earlier than most; guards are not ready. We will keep you up to date as soon as we have more info when guards will be in place.
As always, the use of the facilities is at your own risk. Please make the best decision for you and your household and remember to respect others who are doing the same. There are many pools in our area that are choosing to not open, or not open until mid summer. We want to be able to do this well. Should members not observe the protocols above, we will then reevaluate if keeping our pool open is the right choice. As we've stated, these protocols may change as we move through the season. We ask that everyone please be patient with this process and enjoy the pool responsibly and safely.
Thank you, Maple Ridge HOA
