Hello Maple Ridge Families,

Let's get this season started! 

Here is some important information for you and your swimmer regarding this week's meet.

When - Thursday, May 30th against Edinburgh.

Location - Our pool at 1438 Dunsford Circle.

Volunteer Schedule - See attached. Please check-in with your swimmer so you can verify your assignment and get your name badge.

SET-UP volunteers must arrive no later than 4pm to begin set up.

CHECK-IN Volunteers need to arrive and be ready by 4:15pm.

Swimmer Events - Attached are the events for your swimmer. Please remember to have your swimmer check-in and get their arm marked before proceeding to the bullpen.

Warmups - Our swimmers should arrive by 4:30 so they are checked in, settled in the bullpen area and ready for warmups promptly at 5:00. The visiting team will be getting in the water for their warm ups at 5:30.

Concessions - Families with the last names beginning with A-H, please remember to bring your concession donation! We will have hamburgers, hotdogs, Pasta (from The Local Pantry!); as well as popcorn, chips, drinks and an assortment of candy/goodies. The Kona Ice truck will be back! Heat sheets will be sold at concessions for $1.00 each. CASH ONLY.

Meet Theme - This week is RED, WHITE and BLUE. Parents feel free to wear these colors, flag shirts, whatever is fun and festive! Swimmers can use sharpies to decorate themselves for our theme. The visiting team has been invited to participate as well!

Parking - Our parking lot is very small and all spaces are reserved. Team members must park on the neighborhood streets. Parking is allowed on one side of street only. This will be marked with signs. Emergency vehicles need to be able to pass and access fire hydrants so please do not park on both sides of the street, or blocking a hydrant. You are able to drop off your swimmer and gear in the parking area, but then will need to head back up to park on the street. Our parking attendant will help direct you.

Seating - Our parent seating area is on the right side of the pool as you walk in the front gate. Please bring your folding chairs from home as we will be using most all of the pool chairs for our meet. Check the handbook for your Meet Checklist!

Fun Friday - Everyone come join us (our Minis included) at the Maple Ridge pool on Friday from 9:30 am to 11 am for some fun and LOTS of donuts! We will also be recognizing our "Manta Rays in Motion". Chosen by our Coaches, these are swimmers who have exhibited great sportsmanship, dedication, positive attitudes, stroke improvement and in general have gone above and beyond the call of duty. They will each receive a small award.

NOTE: Edinburgh is quite a large team. There will be many cars and MANY people. Please remember our good sportsmanship (swimmers and parents) and good hospitality. Please have patience. Maple Ridge is known as one of the friendliest teams around, let's keep our reputation going :)
